Joe
Allen Bailey, 68, was born August 14, 1934 in Carlsbad,
New Mexico. He entered into rest August 17, 2002 in Phoenix Arizona.
Mr. Bailey served his country as a pilot in the United States Air
Force for 16 years and subsequently went to work for United Airlines,
retiring after 20 years service. He loved to fish and play golf.
He was a 1952 graduate of North High and returned to the valley
in 1974 to assist his father in developing and leasing commercial
real estate. Mr. Bailey was a member of Christ's Church of the Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma Bailey Owens and
Joe T. Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, son, Mason, daughter,
Melinda, grandchildren, Summer Jo and Devan Bowden, sister Joy Pierson,
step-mother, Doris Bailey and many relatives and friends. Visitation
will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at Phoenix
Memorial Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday,
August 21, 2002 at Phoenix Memorial Mortuary 200 W. Beardsley Rd.
Phoenix, AZ. The family requests that memorial contributions be
